But the question is whether all these online published health facts are authentic and realistic or not? The popularity of healthy diets and fad diets does not make all these published articles about healthy food 100% true.
There are so many misconceptions that people have these days about healthy food and nutrition. Let’s address some of the most common healthy eating misconceptions in this article below.
Misconception # 1 – Processed white sugar can be replaced with brown sugar and honey
One big misconception that people have about healthy eating is that sugar is harmful for health.
Not that sugar is not harmful for health but the one thing that is misconceived about sugar is that processed white sugar is harmful for health and it can be replaced by other forms of sugar.
This is absolutely wrong
You must remember that sugar is sugar and the human body welcomes and treats every form of sugar the same way.
So, you are not doing anything ‘healthy’ by loading your meals with brown sugar instead of white sugar.
Misconception # 2 – Frozen foods aren’t healthy
Most people avoid eating frozen foods and are always looking for farm fresh veggies and fruits. But is it really true that frozen foods have no nutritional value?
No, this is only a myth. If you were to really believe health facts, you would find out that frozen foods have all the nutrients and essential minerals preserved in them. So frozen foods are as healthy as fresh foods.
Misconception # 3 – You can eat whatever you want if you are exercising
There are many people who work out in the day and eat a beef burger at night thinking they have earned it. But have they really?
There is no way to lose weight or even maintain a healthy weight if you keep piling on more calories than you burn. This is not how the mechanism of weight loss works.
Misconception # 4 – Healthy eating for a week will be wasted with one cheat meal
When you diet control all week i.e. 6 days a week, you are actually depleting your body of many calories.
